Embarking on a soulful journey through the golden shores of the Gold Coast, where Barbara Prestia's musical odyssey began under the guidance of the esteemed Patricia White.
Patricia's profound wisdom and devotion to cultivating purity in sound ignited a spark within Barbara—a spark infused with the essence of divine inspiration, beckoning her to share this sacred gift with the world.
Barbara’s colourful journey through the Gold Coast's Amateur Theatre Scene, where she played on stages of Gold Coast Little Theatre and HOTA, guided by the late Robert Young.
It was within these theatrical realms that Barbara discovered the magic of ensemble dynamics and cultivated a profound affection for Musical Theatre Repertoire, expanding her repertoire beyond classical boundaries.
In 1996, Barbara embraced a new adventure as a full-time member of the Dreamworld Entertainment Team. From Rock n Roll tunes in the Kenny Koala Show to embodying whimsical characters like Cooee the Gum nut Fairy and Mable in the Bush Ranger Show. Barbara's versatility shone through. Engaging as roving street characters and captivating guests with her character performances, she loved her time with Dreamworld.
Barbara also journeyed with the Dreamworld International Team, sharing the magic of Dreamworld shows across Asia.
Barbara's journey led her from Dreamworld to the enchanting streets of London, where she found Chessington World of Adventures, dazzling audiences in the exhilarating Benoland Stunt Show and working as a children’s entertainer at Rainbow Productions.
Returning from London, Barbara co-created the beloved children's show, Polly and Molly, a tale that resonated with young hearts across Victoria and New South Wales. Her vibrant presence extended to ABC Kids Live, where she charmed audiences nationwide with her captivating performances.
Barbara's journey took her to the stages of Opera Queensland and the Helensvale Culture Centre, where she enchanted audiences as part of the duo, Aluna Dreaming.
Her passion for storytelling reached new heights with Wild Dreamer Productions, where she embodied the ethereal role of Universe in the original show Meera.
In 2019, Barbara unveiled her soul-stirring debut solo album, 'It's a Call', with mesmerising melodies and poignant lyrics.
Her music videos, including Mumma Moon, This Ancient Land, and Magic Place, have captured the hearts of viewers worldwide.
Continuing to spread joy through her music, Barbara offers Vocal Production Coaching Sessions, group sessions for retreats, workshops and professional development sessions for businesses and companies wanting to empower their staff.
